Oriental Floral Fragrance for Women, Charlie Gold

Charlie Gold For Women, The sweetest oriental flower by Revlon

charlie Gold

Charlie Gold by Revlon was launched in 1995. This fragrance is a oriental floral fragrance for women. This scent made by orange, apricot, sandalwood, plum, amber, cinnamon, musk, violet, freesia, peach, jasmine, caramel, cloves, cedar and rose.

Charlie Gold is a truly underrated fragrance, but it's unique, warm, creamy and spicy just the way I really love it. About the smell itself: firt it may be a little strong but after a while it develops into a spícy (mainly cinnamon) floral-oriental with a soft caramel-vanilla base. I think that this fragrance was recomended for winter time.

Rose The One for women by Dolce Gabbana

Rose The One, Sweetest Rose from Dolce Gabbana

rose the one
Rose The One release before The One and L'Eau The One by the house of Dolce Gabbana. Its notes are intoxicating and incorporate black currant, pink grapefruit, mandarin, lily of the valley, rose, litchi, peony, Madonna lily, along with ambrette seed, sandalwood, musk and vanilla.

Rose the One is delicate and soft but also manages to be warm and exotic. Womanly, but not girly - sophisticated, but not serious.

The notes in this perfume are, very natural as the top notes smell of real fresh mandarin, grapefruit, lemon and the unmistakable rose scent you only get when you smell a single dewy garden rose up close. As soon as the fragrance starts to dry the divine heady lily note develops along with beautiful peony, and the grapefruit, along with the rose, is still there but more faintly when the lily remains centre stage, joined by the gorgeous earthy-sweet vanilla and sandalwood. It's not raw sexuality and it's not so strong it'll last all day (though a good few hours on me) but it is an elegant scent with lots of different classy and slightly addictive elements to it and it has a calming, relaxing quality. Even as it's wearing off I get a delightful subtle waft of woody lily-vanilla as it seems to smoulder on warm skin, making it ideal for summer. The warm woody notes would also go brilliantly with the fading heat of early autumn.

All in all, Rose the One a unique fruity-floral as I get none of the tart berry notes mentioned and the citrus fruits give a freshness to the blend, which I've never smelt before on a warm woody vanilla base. I don't find the sharper and warmer notes clash either as all the notes unfold one by one, overlapping into the next, and by the time the vanilla comes in the citrus notes have faded and it seems appropriate that it then progresses to a woody floral-vanilla scent.

Finally, I adore the bottle as it's like a block of ice topped with a rose gold bar. Very luxurious yet understated which compliments the fragrance perfectly.

Dolce Gabbana Pour Homme First Fragrance By D&G for Men

The Clasical Aromatic Fragrance By D&G

D&G fragrance for men was the first scent by D&G and it was classic fragrance, relaxing and slightly herbal, but very masculine. The notes for this clasic scent which start off with refreshing and energizing citrus are notes of bergamot, tangerine, orange, and lemon leaves. The heart notes was so aromatic that combines the sharpness and freshness of lavender, naturalness of sage with intense and powerful notes of cardamom reinforced by pepper in all its boldness. Base notes for this scent are cedar, tonka bean, sandalwood and musk.

Truly a Classic, It's a lady killer for sure. Nothing I've ever smelled comes close to this and it's definitely a must have in any collection. What I enjoyed most about this fragrance was the fact that it bares similarities to that of Carolina Herrera for Men (also one of my all time favs) however, there are obvious differences.

The top notes are very citrusy but in a very pleasant way. The mandarin and orange sweeten the lemon just right and though the lemon comes off a bit synthetic, it's nothing that's too unbearable. I feel that they all complement each other quite nicely. I find the middle notes to be a bit heavier than anything else. You definitely get the pepper. The lavender is very subtle behind the pepper, which I guess is good because it does not blend the two extremes so you actually only smell one lingering behind the other as opposed to both being in your face. As the base notes kick in, the tobacco is something that you will definitely smell! It's a gorgeous addition to the fragrance overall! This is the part that reminds me of Carolina Herrera For Men but not because they smell similar but rather because the spices, such as the tobacco and pepper, are used perfectly and are not overbearing. What you end up with is a sweetened lemon, with hints of tobacco and pepper over a woody base. How much more gorgeous can this get? The scent life is amazing as well. I get at least 10+ hours every time.

The only complaint I have is the fact that if you are going to be active while wearing this cologne, it somewhat smells like Chrome. Definitely a versatile scent but not for an active day, at least not for me. Oh and a little advice for you guys out there that feel the need to spray a cologne at least 10 times, 3-4 sprays with this one and you're gold. The scent projects very well so do not be too generous with the trigger.

Warm Scent for Men in Calvin Klein ETERNITY

Warm Fragrance for men by Calvin Klein, ETERNITY

calvin klien eternity
Eternity By Calvin Klien was a fragrance that design for men which launched in 1990. This is an aromatic fougere fragrance. Top notes from this perfume are lavender, mandarin orange, bergamot and lemon. The heart notes are coriander, lily, orange blossom, juniper berries, basil, jasmine, sage, lily-of-the-valley and geranium. Base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, vetiver and brazilian rosewood.

Calvin Klein ETERNITY

The melancholy Eternity, with its citrusy traditional (lavender) opening, its astringent floral-herbal romantic heart and its woody and masculine base, smells like a sort of cleaned by spices, slightly ozonic and sour traditional powerhouse, masculine, comforting and clear. There is a certain level of bitterness very appealing and pungent that is the perfect shelter for the romanticism of a deep, almost tasty, neroli accord plus jasmine.

The base is slightly aromatic and warm of woods and roots that retain the general drought of the juice and owns a different kind of woody-ambery mildness pleced on the side of the diverse citrusy-floral initial sweetness. These elements determine a touch of dissonance and complexity that give dignity to the juice. Many fragrances remind in their dry down the smell of Eternity and its to Cool Water, Green Irish tweed, Joop Nightflight, Egoiste Platinum and many many others.

The dry herbal and fruity-floral formula with woods and amber at base is a risky recipe cause a lot crossed by the noses all around and because of its common tart and floral monothematic depth. Eternity lacks indeed uniqueness, smells synthetic and is a bit generic (the formula is similar to that of many bath energetic foams or chip and common fragrances) although fortunately preserves a bit of changeability.

Do and Don't while wearing perfume

Do and Don't

Option for various forms (eau de toillette, cologne, and parfume) of your scent that can be used for different situations.
  • Layer your scent by also using the same in your hand and body lotion and shower gel because it will make the scent last longer.
  • Use cologne and parfume sparingly by spraying it in the air and walking through it rather than spraying it directly onto the body.
  • Don't be afraid to update your scent from time to time to reflect the constant changes in your personality.
  • Never wear a heavy fragrance that may annoy people in a professional setting.
  • Never spray a scent in an enclosed or heavily occupied space like a small bathroom, an elevator, or a restaurant.
  • It your scent stains your clothing, take it to the dry cleaner rather than trying to remove it yourself.
  • If friends and family tell you the scent is too strong, smells "funky" or doesn't suit you, pay attention because they may smell something you can't.

How To Choose Right Scent For Your Personality

How to Choose the Right Scent for Your Personality

Perfume is hundreds of years old. The Egyptians understood the power of the sense of smell and perfected the whole concept of "scent." However, they were not the only civilization to explore the sense of smell. Many believe that perfume is much older than we think, perhaps being used in very early religious rituals. Next to sight, the sense of smell is the most powerful to those seeking a base connection. It draws others to us because it evokes an essence about "who" we are as individuals. Choose the right scent and you just may draw the right individual to you. However, choose the wrong one and the results may not be so successful. So how do you go about choosing the right scent? Let's explore.

Instruction
  1. Make a list of the scents that you particularly like such as fruits, spices, or florals. If you have specific favorites within those categories (like the smell of a rose or patouille spice) be sure to highlight them.
  2. Make a list of the scents that you don't like. Be detailed.
  3. If you already have perfumes on hand, take a look at the ones that you tend wear most often versus those that you barely wear at all. This will give you insight into your more subconscious scent preferences. For example, if you discover that you tend to wear more floral scents, that tells you something about yourself. On the other hand, if you tend use spicy scents, that says something else altogether. Or perhaps you even combine floral and spices together, which is another clue. On the other hand, if you find that you tend to avoid certain types of scents like floral-based or spice-based scents, that tells you that they likely do not reflect who you are as an individual.
  4. If you haven't explored new perfumes in a while, take a trip to a local department store that has an extensive fragrance department. Better yet, if one is available in your area, visit a perfumery. Speak with a representative who is specifically trained in helping you to find the exact right scent for you. They will ask you questions about yourself and then steer you in the direction of scents that match. Or, in the case of a perfumery, they will help you to build your own personal scent. Ask for samples of your top choices if they are available. If not, often they can spray the scent choices on a card for you to make a temporary sample for further review. Pay attention to the price of the scent samples you choose since cost may ultimately have some kind of impact on your final choices.
  5. Take your samples home and share them with people who know you well. Ask them to choose the sample scent that seems to reflect who they think you are as a person. If that matches with your own choice of scent then you likely have a winning fragrance. If, on the other hand, you get a lot of different responses, that may tell you that there are a lot of different sides to your personality and that finding a single signature scent may be virtually impossible. That need not be a bad thing, however, it will likely change the idea of a single signature scent.
  6. Write down the attributes of your personality that best define you as an individual. If they remain virtually within a narrow corridor like "intelligent, serious, and sophisticated" or "bubbly, outgoing, and sensitive," then you may be able to find a single scent that will suit you. On the other hand, if your characteristics are all over the map, choosing a single scent to represent who you are may be much more difficult. Be sure to ask yourself if you respond to different scents at different times. For example, you love floral scents during the spring and summer when your sparkling personality is at its height. However, you prefer spicy musk-like scents in the fall and winter when you tend to be a bit more grounded and serious. You prefer lighter variations of the scent during the day and heavier versions when you're out on the town at night. That lets you know that purchasing a single purfume may not work for you because you won't likely wear it during the day since it will be too heavy.
  7. Be honest with yourself about what you want your scent to accomplish. Is it just to reflect who you are as a person? Is it to lighten your mood or tone? Is it to attract others to you? Understanding what you want from your scent will help you to zero in on the one that may best help you accomplish that goal.
  8. Match the personality attributes that you have written down and the things that you want to accomplish with your scent to the perfume samples that you have obtained. If there is a natural match, then that fragrance or fragrances may be just the ticket for you. Keep in mind, that you really don't have to be limited to a single scent. I personally have about a half dozen. There is one that I wear when I just want to be me. It is a light floral scent with a focus on gardenia. There is one that I wear when I want to draw my husband's attention. It is a clever mixture of floral (me) and spice (sex). There is one that I wear for professional occasions. It is light and fresh with a fruitier base that most people find less annoying. While obviously, if you can find a single scent that accomplishes everything, it may be less expensive that should not be your only reason for choosing it. If it is, you won't likely be happy with your choice.
  9. Once you have narrowed your choice down, then match that against the amount you are willing to spend on your signature fragrances. You may find that you can afford the parfume in some instances but only the eau de toillette in others. You must then decide if you can be happy with those selections. If so, then you are ready to make your purchases. If not, you may need to back up and start over by collecting some new samples and moving forward again.
  10. Once you have made your scent choice, wear it for a period of time before deciding whether or not it really meets your requirements. Ask yourself the following questions. How does it make you feel? Does it adequately reflect who you are as an individual? Does it accomplish what you want from your scent? How does the scent mix with your personal body chemistry? Have your received compliments or complaints about it? I once wore a perfume called "Poison." I loved it. I thought it adequately reflected me as an individual; complex with both a rich floral and fruity scent. However, my friends were kind enough to tell me that the scent didn't work with my body chemistry; that it came across too strong. Consequently, I moved on to a similar scent that worked better overall for me as well as for those around me. If you are not ultimately happy with your choice over the long haul, then back up to Step 4 and start over.

Bergamot Orange (Notes)

Bergamot Orange notes

Bergamot orange, Citrus bergamia is a fragrant fruit the size of an orange, with a yellow colour similar to a lemon. Genetic research into the ancestral origins of extant citrus cultivars recently matched the bergamot as a likely hybrid of Citrus limetta and Citrus aurantium. Citrus bergamot is a native hybrid of and commercially grown in Calabria, southern Italy, where more than 80% are found. It is also grown in southern France and in Côte d'Ivoire for the essential oil. The fruit is not grown for juice consumption.
Its name, Bergamot, is from the Italian bergamotto, a modification of the Turkish bey armudu (literally "Bey's pear").
Citrus bergamia is a small tree which blossoms during the winter. The juice tastes less sour than lemon, but more bitter than grapefruit. The distinctive aroma of the bergamot is most commonly known for its use in Earl Grey tea. The juice of the fruit has also been used in Calabrianindigenous medicine as a herbal remedy for malaria, and its essential oil is popular inaromatherapy applications.
The bergamot orange is unrelated to the herbs of the same name, Monarda didyma and Monarda fistulosa, which are in the mint family. The active ingredients in bergamot juice are neoeriocitrin, naringin, neohesperidin, ponceritin, melitidin, and brutieridin. Melitidin and brutieridin, only recently discovered, exist only in citrus bergamot, and exhibit statin-like properties. Synephrine is not present in citrus bergamot.
Citrus bergamia has also been classified as Citrus aurantium subsp. bergamia (i.e. a subspecies of Bitter orange). Citrus bergamia is sometimes confused with (but is not the same as) Citrus medica (Citron, the yellow fruit of which is also known as Etrog).
